Her plea is that her husband had been paid the interest on his Provident Fund till August 2009, whereas the payout of all the balance in his name has been affected later, i.e. on 30-9-2009. She demanded to know as to what law or rule would allow a public authority to calculate interest on the GPF till a particular date but effect the payment to the employee at a much later date. ....ents that delayed issue of the PPO was a fact and that was entirely unintentional. It was due to the computer system which developed glitches. Not only the PPO of the appellant's husband, many other PPOs too, could not be issued during that period. They stated that it was true that interest was paid to appellant upto August, 2009. It was not paid for the month of September 2009 as the PPO was issued before the 15th day of September.
