Company name change: deletion of 'Private' requires notification to Registrar and registrar must amend register and certificate.
A proviso exempts a Government company from the general name-change provision where the only change is deletion of the word 'Private'. Where that deletion occurs, the company must inform the Registrar within three months, and the Registrar shall delete 'Private' from the name on the register and alter the certificate of incorporation accordingly.
