Central Government de-notifies 282.7351 hectares from the Tata Steel Special Economic Zone at Gopalpur, Odisha, under the statutory proviso and rule, resulting in a revised SEZ area of 305.9163 hectares; the de-notified parcels are listed by survey and plot particulars and are to be utilised for new industrial units in the Domestic Tariff Area following State approval and the Development Commissioner's recommendation.

SEZ land use and valuation rules: reduced area threshold for semiconductor zones and inclusion of free supplies in forex calculations.
Amendments reduce the contiguous land area requirement for exclusively semiconductor/electronic component SEZs and list covered component sub assemblies; permit the Board to relax encumbrance free area conditions where land is mortgaged or leased to government agencies with reasons recorded; substitute discretionary language for certain export/transfer obligations and clarify permitted transfers to Customs Bonded Warehouses, Domestic Tariff Area on duty payment, or Free Trade and Warehousing Zone Units; require inclusion of goods received and goods supplied free of cost in Net Foreign Exchange calculations for semiconductor manufacturing services using customs valuation rules; and modify an Annexure II land area entry.

SEZ Authority membership change: substitution of two KASEZ Authority members effective end of June 2025.
The Central Government amends notification S.O.2938(E) to substitute the entries at Sl. Nos. 5 and 6 of the KASEZ Authority membership, replacing the previously notified individuals with Sh. Pankaj Mital, Director of M/s. Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd, KASEZ, and Sh. Dharmendrasinh Rajput, Managing Director of M/s. Gokul Overseas, KASEZ, effective 30.06.2025.

De-notification of SEZ land returns specified parcels to the state for public purpose, reducing the SEZ area accordingly.
Central Government de-notifies 13.297 hectares from the Sholinganallur Special Economic Zone, reducing the notified SEZ area to 139.300 hectares, under its powers under the Special Economic Zones Act and SEZ Rules, following State Government approval and the Development Commissioner's recommendation because the land is required back for a public purpose.

Special Economic Zone expansion: additional land notified, increasing SEZ total area under SEZ Act authority.
The Central Government, under the second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, notifies inclusion of an additional area of 88.02 hectares into the Jamnagar Multi-Product SEZ proposed by M/s. Reliance Industries Limited, specifying survey numbers and parcel areas across named villages and thereby making the total SEZ area 1377.4622 hectares.

De-notification of SEZ land reduces designated SEZ area after statutory procedure and state approval for public reversion.
De-notification of 529.4586 hectares from the multi product Special Economic Zone at specified villages in Taluk Vagra, District Bharuch reduces the designated SEZ area to 1152.9445 hectares. The Central Government, invoking its statutory notification power and applicable SEZ rules, approved the proposal made by M/s. Dahej SEZ Limited after State Government approval and recommendation by the Development Commissioner; the de notified land is required back to the State for public purposes and specific survey numbers and parcel areas are listed.

Re-notification of Special Economic Zone consolidates notified land into a contiguous IT/ITES SEZ, formalising revised plot boundaries.
Re-notification under the second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and rule 8 of the SEZ Rules, 2006, consolidates previously notified parcels into a contiguous sector-specific SEZ for Information Technology and IT-enabled services at Village Ognaj, resulting in a re-notified area of 10.9368 hectares as set out by survey and original plot numbers.

Amalgamation of Special Economic Zones: single Multi Sector SEZ notified in Chenglepet Tamil Nadu; previous notifications superseded.
Central Government notifies the amalgamation of three sector specific SEZs into one Multi Sector Special Economic Zone developed by M/s. Mahindra World City Developers Limited at Chenglepet Taluk, Kancheepuram, consolidating a total notified area of 246.333 hectares. The notification, issued under the second proviso to sub section (1) of section 4 of the SEZ Act and rule 8 of the SEZ Rules, supersedes prior notifications and lists the survey numbers and parcel areas comprising the notified zone after the Board of Approval's recommendation and satisfaction of conditions under section 3(8) of the Act.

Membership substitution in SEZ Authority: two members replaced under statutory power to amend SEZ notifications.
Amendment to the SEZ notification substitutes two nominated members of the MEPZ SEZ Authority. Exercising powers under Section 31 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, the Central Government replaces Shri Shyam Sundar Todi and Shri R Chandrasekaran with Shri Jasbir Singh Gujral and Shri Bhaskar Rao Ramineni, updating the membership entries in the earlier S.O. 4773(E) notification.
