The Central Government, exercising powers under the Special Economic Zones Act and SEZ Rules, 2006, de notified 75.55 hectares of a sector specific IT/ITES SEZ at Villages Bhigan and Kurar Ibrahimpur, Sonepat, Haryana, on the developer's proposal, with State no objection and Development Commissioner recommendation, reducing the notified area from 101.24 hectares to a resultant 25.69 hectares; parcel level particulars are listed and the 2014 de notification was later rescinded by a 2022 notification.

Special Economic Zone area inclusion expands notified SEZ by additional land, increasing total area under SEZ designation.
An additional land parcel of 0.20 hectares is added to the Sector Specific Special Economic Zone for IT/ITES at Global Village, Pattenagere/Mylsandra, raising the SEZ area to 26.873 hectares. Special Economic Zone expansion: notification adds additional land to an IT/ITES SEZ, increasing the total notified area.
Notification expands a sector specific Special Economic Zone for IT/ITES at Kakkanad by adding 40.7356 hectares of land proposed by M/s. Smart City (Kochi) Infrastructure Pvt. Notification establishes a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Information Technology and IT Enabled Services at Imphal, Manipur, notifying land parcels totaling 10.85 hectares by village and survey numbers. The Central Government rescinds the notification establishing the sector-specific Special Economic Zone for engineering at the specified villages in District Gurgaon, covering 103.0154 hectares, on the developer's proposal to denotify the area, exercised under the SEZ regulatory framework, except as regards things done or omitted to be done before such rescission.

Rescission of SEZ notification: central government cancels sector specific biotechnology SEZ following approved denotification request.
Pursuant to the developer's approved request, the Central Government, exercising powers under the proviso to the relevant rule of the Special Economic Zone Rules, formally rescinds the earlier notification for the sector specific biotechnology SEZ, subject only to protection of acts done or omissions made prior to rescission.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry amends notification S.O. 2327(E) dated 10th October, 2011 by substituting the entries at Sl. No. 5 and 6 in the list of CSEZ Authority members with Shri P. K. Koshy, Managing Director, CII Guardian International Ltd., and Shri N. Jehangir, Managing Director, SFO Technologies Pvt. Ltd., by notification S.O. 111(E) dated 9th January, 2014.
