      Summary: Reopening of the GSTN portal permits fresh registration and migration ahead of the GST rollout. The portal will accept new registrations from e commerce operators, Tax Deductors at Source (TDS) required to collect tax at source, and GST practitioners, and will reopen enrolment for existing Central Excise, Service Tax and VAT assessees for a three month period starting June 25.

Auction results, payment, settlement dates, and eligibility for When Issued trading follow RBI guidelines.

      Project Imports (Amendment) Regulations, 2017
      Summary: Amendment inserts a new entry in the Project Imports Regulations to extend project import treatment to specified metro and monorail projects, enabling customs concessions for imported plant, machinery and components used in those projects. It designates the managing directors or specified directors of the respective metro corporations as the sponsoring authorities responsible for sponsoring imports under the Project Imports framework.

      Seeks to amend Notification No. 61/94(NT) - Customs, dated the 21st November, 1994 to declare Kannur International Airport as Customs Airport under sub-section (2) of section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962
      Summary: Designates Kannur International Airport as a Customs Airport by inserting a new schedule entry authorising the unloading of imported goods and the loading of export goods or specified classes of such goods at that airport, thereby amending Notification No. 61/94(NT)-Customs and updating the table of customs airports under the Customs Act.

      India-Malaysia Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (Bilateral Safeguard Measures) Rules, 2017
      Summary: Bilateral safeguard measures may be imposed where increased imports of originating goods from Malaysia, resulting from tariff reductions under the Trade Agreement, cause or threaten serious injury to a domestic industry. The Director General conducts investigations-initiated by domestic producers or suo motu-assessing objective factors and causation, issues public notices, handles confidential information, and may recommend provisional or final measures. The Central Government may suspend tariff concessions or raise duties within defined limits, subject to duration, progressive liberalisation, transition period constraints, refund rules, and review mechanisms.

      Amendment in export policy of Muli Bamboo and export policy for bamboo products
      Summary: The notification permits export of Muli Bamboo and bamboo products made from legally sourced bamboo, subject to presentation of a Certificate of Origin issued by the concerned State Forest Department (and, for products, alternatively by the Agriculture Department), and compliance with applicable State Forest Department transit rules for transportation; bamboo charcoal, bamboo pulp and unprocessed bamboo shoots remain excluded from the product permissibility.
