Carbon border adjustment mechanisms are criticised as unilateral, discriminatory trade measures affecting carbon-intensive imports from developing economies.
Carbon border adjustment mechanisms are characterised as unilateral, punitive, discriminatory and protectionist measures inconsistent with international law, with concern that they may undermine developing countries' climate-change adaptation and resilience efforts. Such mechanisms impose additional import duties on carbon-intensive goods according to emissions generated in manufacture and may affect iron and steel, cement, fertiliser and aluminium exports.

Cross-border supply-chain dependence shapes imports of industrial inputs, while foreign investment screening remains stricter for land-border linked entities.
India-China trade reflects a widening deficit driven by imports of industrial raw materials, intermediate goods and capital goods used in manufacturing. Dependence is concentrated in electronics, machinery, computers, organic chemicals, electronic components, batteries, solar modules, active pharmaceutical ingredients and specialty chemicals. Foreign direct investment norms are relaxed for certain companies outside land-border countries where beneficial ownership from such countries remains below the specified threshold and non-controlling. Entities registered in China, Hong Kong and other land-border countries remain excluded from that relaxation.

Inflation risks from oil shocks support proposed policy-rate tightening to prevent broader consumer-price pressures before they become entrenched.
Monetary policy tightening is advocated to counter persistent external shocks, elevated crude oil prices, and expanding inflationary pressures. The proposed response is based on the risk that sustained high oil prices may raise consumer-price inflation and entrench inflation before a complete cost pass-through occurs. Banking-system liquidity has increased through foreign currency deposit inflows, but anticipated strong credit demand is expected to absorb the surplus and normalise liquidity by the end of the financial year.

The Enforcement Directorate also maintains that failure to respond to summons and submit to criminal-court jurisdiction remains material to the proceedings.

Central bank digital currency development should support tokenised settlement while cybersecurity safeguards address AI-driven systemic risks.
Central bank digital currency development was urged to be advanced through wholesale and retail pilots, with stronger digital rupee capabilities supporting tokenisation. A tokenised corporate bond pilot showed that the digital rupee can enable simultaneous transfer of asset and payment legs, permitting settlement on the payment date. Tokenisation may reduce intermediaries and accelerate transfers, but requires systemic-risk and cybersecurity safeguards because errors, fraud and market shocks may spread faster. AI can improve fraud detection while also enabling sophisticated automated cyberattacks.

From Ten-Minute Delivery to Proof-led Delivery: What Pan-India Organic Grocery Actually Requires

COWBERRY delivers organic groceries pan-India, from metro cities to smaller towns.

New Delhi [India], September 14: India's grocery delivery race has been won, so far, largely on speed. Apps compete on minutes, not values, and for most everyday groceries that is a perfectly reasonable way to compete — a bag of rice doesn't need much verification to be exactly what it says on the label. Organic food is a different category entirely, and COWBERRY, the company positioning itself as India's largest organic grocery app, has built its pan-India delivery model around a bet that speed alone was never going to be the right axis to compete on here.

The logistics challenge specific to organic grocery delivery is easy to underestimate. Staples, pulses, spices, oils and specialty foods each have different shelf-life, storage and handling requirements, and doing this at a scale of 150-plus SKUs — available through COWBERRY's product range — while maintaining consistency across regions with very different climates and infrastructure, from major metros to smaller towns, is a considerably harder operational problem than running a single dark-store format in a handful of dense urban markets.

What makes the organic version of this challenge harder still is that speed and convenience cannot come at the cost of the verification promise underpinning the entire category. Every batch behind every SKU is tested for 252+ banned chemical residues at internationally accredited laboratories before it is cleared for sale, with the standard detailed at COWBERRY's certifications page, and that testing timeline has to be built into the supply chain rather than treated as an optional step that can be skipped to hit a faster delivery promise. A ten-minute delivery model simply cannot accommodate a testing pipeline of that kind — which is part of why pan-India organic delivery has to be engineered differently from quick-commerce grocery delivery generally.

This distinction traces back to how COWBERRY was built. Founders Haresh Parvadiya, Darshan Parvadiya and Kaushik Sonani have spent almost three-years working directly with farmers across Gujarat and other states before ever building consumer-facing infrastructure, and the company's farmer network has since grown to more than 1,50,000 certified organic farmers across more than nine states. That geographic spread is precisely what makes pan-India delivery feasible in the first place — sourcing organic produce reliably across a country as large and climatically varied as India requires supply diversified across multiple regions, not concentrated around one or two hub states.

The company also holds triple certification — NPOP, NOP (USDA Organic) and EU Organic — across this network, adding a layer of audited credibility that travels with the product regardless of which state it was grown in or which city it is ultimately delivered to. For a customer in a smaller town who may not have easy access to a specialty organic store, that consistency matters more than it might for a metro shopper with several verified options nearby.

The impact of this reach is especially important beyond India's major metros. Customers in cities like Mumbai and Delhi may have access to specialty organic stores, may or may not the certified and tested-organic sellers, but consumers in smaller cities and towns often have far fewer options. Pan-India delivery can help bring verified organic groceries to more households, without limiting access to a handful of large cities.

For COWBERRY, the goal is not to compete with quick-commerce platforms purely on delivery speed. Organic grocery requires a different supply chain, one where sourcing, certification, testing and traceability are part of the process. The focus is on giving customers convenient access to organic groceries while retaining the systems that support the claims made on the product. Thus, the proof-led deliveries by COWBERRY do not limit themselves in Metro Cities, but also cater every-corner of the nation.

This is where COWBERRY's model brings its different pieces together: a network of 1,50,000+ certified organic farmers across 9+ states, 150+ SKUs, its own certified organic manufacturing facilities, batch-level testing for 252+ banned chemical and pesticide residues, and QR codes that allow customers to access the laboratory report for their product. For the consumer, that creates a simple proposition: shop for organic groceries through an app, get them delivered to your doorstep, and have access to the proof behind the product.

That is ultimately what COWBERRY is building: not just a larger organic grocery catalogue, but an organic grocery experience that combines scale, convenience, testing and traceability.
