Advance licensing sugar refiners redirect export-oriented refined sugar to domestic sales to increase supply and restrain prices.
Advance licensing scheme sugar refiners are required to divert refined white sugar, produced from imported raw sugar ordinarily intended for export, to the domestic market to augment supplies. Domestic sugar-price management also includes duty-free sugar imports, tighter stockholding limits for bulk users and dealers, and restrictions on sugar exports. These measures operate against revised production estimates, projected domestic demand, available stocks, and concern over price increases by sugar mills.

State-funded welfare schemes do not alone establish exclusionary conduct when fare benefits influence passenger choice and private operator revenues.
State-funded free travel for eligible passengers on specified public transport services does not ordinarily attract competition-law scrutiny merely because private operators lose passengers or revenue. Passenger preference arising from a fare concession, where the State bears the cost, does not by itself establish abuse of dominance, denial of market access, or unfair or discriminatory conditions. Differential commercial impact must be accompanied by independent exclusionary or unfair market conduct to constitute a competition-law contravention.

Proceedings concerning delayed real-estate projects require a fresh comprehensive proposal addressing possession, refunds, delayed-possession compensation, and enforcement-related claims of all homebuyers across the developer's group entities. An inadequate proposal may lead to appointment of a High-Powered Committee to assume relevant responsibilities. Frozen bank accounts remain under restraint, and a request by the Insolvency Resolution Professional to operate an account for company affairs was not entertained. The proceedings also raise concerns over enforcement of real-estate regulatory directions and protection of homebuyers facing prolonged delays.

Crude oil price volatility heightens India's import, inflation and fuel-retailer margin pressures amid West Asia supply disruptions.
Elevated crude prices arising from West Asia supply and maritime-transit risks increase India's oil import costs and may pressure the trade balance and currency. Higher international crude prices can feed into domestic inflation through fuel, transport and energy costs, depending on domestic price pass-through and the duration of the increase. Retail fuel-price restraint may compress fuel-retailer margins and increase LPG under-recoveries. Refiners, distributors, airlines, petrochemical businesses and other energy-intensive sectors also face higher costs, particularly where crude, LPG and naphtha supplies depend on regional transit flows.

Export-led growth in technology goods and autos widens trade imbalances amid tariffs, strategic supply constraints, and diversification.
China's export growth accelerated in August, driven by demand for automobiles and high-technology goods, while imports also rose and the trade surplus widened. Export growth continued to outpace imports, supported by expanded shipments to Southeast Asia, Latin America and Africa and by rising exports of electric vehicles, industrial machinery and semiconductors. Reliance on exports amid weak domestic consumption and investment contributed to concerns over global economic imbalances and continuing strategic trade tensions.

New Delhi, Sep 9 (PTI) The first INNOPROM.India International Industrial Trade Fair is being held in New Delhi from September 9-11, where leading companies from Moscow's high-tech industrial sectors will showcase their products and solutions, the Russian Embassy here said on Wednesday.

The announcement about the mega Russian international industrial trade fair was made by Maksim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.

"The first INNOPROM.India International Industrial Trade Fair will be held in New Delhi from September 9-11. Leading companies from the capital's high-tech industrial sectors will showcase their solutions at the Moscow collective stand. They include manufacturers of medical equipment, collaborative robots, transport digitalisation solutions, LCD displays and non-destructive testing equipment," the embassy said in a statement.

"As instructed by Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, we are supporting the development of trade and economic relations with India. The capital has traditionally ranked first among Russia's regions in terms of trade: in the first half of 2026, Moscow accounted for 45 per cent of Russia's trade with India. Exports are also growing: over the same period, exports of engineering products from Moscow increased fivefold," Liksutov was quoted as saying in the statement.

The official said that to expand cooperation, a Moscow delegation will participate in the INNOPROM.India exhibition.

"Leading industrial companies and residents of the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone will hold talks with potential customers and showcase their solutions at the collective stand," Liksutov added.

The Moscow Export Support Centre Mosprom will cover the costs of transporting exhibits and organising meetings with foreign partners on the sidelines of the exhibition, the statement said.

"The city is actively supporting the implementation of joint investment and infrastructure projects with Indian partners. For example, following the St Petersburg International Economic Forum 2026, an agreement was signed with one of India's leading pharmaceutical companies to localise the production of medicines at the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone," said Anatoly Garbuzov, Minister of the Moscow Government and Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.

"The participation of Moscow industrial companies in INNOPROM.India is an important step towards strengthening our technological partnership," Garbuzov said.

Moscow is open to "deeper cooperation and ready to offer our international partners the best expertise" in critical industrial sectors, from microelectronics to medicine, the official added.

Joint Stock Company Institute for Scientific Research Microelectronic Equipment Progress (JSC NIIMA Progress,) a resident of the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone, will showcase a high-precision geodetic collaborative platform.

"Another Technopolis Moscow resident, NEX-T (NexTouch brand) will introduce visitors to solutions based on its proprietary liquid-crystal modules, including the NextOne all-in-one PC, the NextPanel interactive educational system and the NextAir transparent display with touchless gesture control," the statement said.

Moscow’s Scientific and Productive Centre ECHOPLUS will exhibit its flagship phased-array ultrasonic flaw detector AVGUR-ART.

ROBOPRO will show its commercial DOKA collaborative robots, designed to automate repetitive and routine processes. At the stand, a robot will demonstrate the handling of products in various formats, including glass jars, as well as packaging operations, it said.

"The stand will also feature sterilisation equipment from Tyumen Plant of Medical Equipment and Tools (JSC TZMOI), a resident of the Special Economic Zone, as well as products from DNA-Technology, including innovative reagent kits and automated laboratory systems," the embassy added.

The participation of Moscow companies in INNOPROM.India has been organised with the support of the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in India.

"The Autonomous Non-Profit Organisation Mosprom Export, Industry and Investment Support Centre was established by the Government of Moscow in 2019 to support, develop and promote investment activity, industrial exports and exports of agricultural products," it said.

Mosprom is the key export support centre for Moscow's industrial companies, providing systematic assistance to the capital's enterprises at every stage of entering international markets.

"Moscow exporters have been actively supported by the national government. In particular, the International Cooperation and Export National Project provides a comprehensive range of information, financial, insurance and logistics support measures. The national project also includes My Export digital platform, where businesses can access free expert advice and analytics, assistance in promoting products on international marketplaces, online training and more," it said.
