Provisional national income and quarterly GDP estimates for 2013-14 were revised using updated agricultural, IIP and sectoral indicators, yielding an annual GDP growth of 4.7 percent at constant factor cost and corresponding revisions to GNI and per capita net national income. Marine products exports in 2013 14 totaled US$5,007.70 million (983,756 tonnes), up 42.6% in dollar terms and 5.98% in quantity, with unit value rising to US$5.09/kg. Frozen shrimp dominated value (64.12%), shrimp exports reached 301,435 tonnes worth US$3,210.94 million, and Vannamei volumes and dollar earnings surged. South East Asia, the USA and EU were primary markets. MPEDA targets US$6.0 billion for 2014 15, citing Vannamei production growth, quality control and value addition infrastructure.
