The Reserve Bank of India published the Reference Rate for the US Dollar and the prior day's value as the operative benchmark; using that Reference Rate together with middle rates of cross currency quotes, the Bank furnished corresponding rupee exchange rates for the euro, pound sterling and yen and stated that the SDR Rupee rate will be based on the published Reference Rate.

Government securities auction using multiple-price method with non-competitive allotment and specified electronic bid windows and settlement.
Announcement of a scheduled auction of multiple Government of India securities by RBI Mumbai using the multiple price method, with government option to accept additional subscriptions within the notified total. Up to five percent of each notified amount is reserved for eligible participants under the non-competitive bidding facility. Competitive and non-competitive bids must be submitted electronically via the RBI E Kuber system within prescribed bid windows; the auction result and subsequent payment/settlement dates are specified. The stocks are eligible for when issued trading under RBI guidelines.

Cessation of subscription for specified government savings bonds announced; subscriptions closed effective announced banking business day.
The Government announced that 8% GOI Savings (Taxable) Bonds, 2003 shall cease to be open for subscription with effect from the close of banking business on the specified banking day; the announcement was issued as a government press release notifying investors and intermediaries that new subscriptions are not permitted after the stated banking-business cutoff.

Reference rate publication: US dollar reference and derived cross currency rates determine SDR rupee rate effective immediately.
The Reserve Bank published the reference rate for the US dollar and derived mid rates for EUR, GBP and JPY against the rupee; the SDR Rupee rate is to be determined on the basis of the published reference rate.
