Export clearance procedures require courier shipping bills and customs inspection before departure for documents and goods.

The Authorised Courier must file a Courier Shipping Bill with the proper Customs officer before departure and present export goods for inspection, examination and assessment; prescribed forms distinguish documents and goods. Certain exports-those from EOUs/STPs/EHTPs, exports under DEEC/EPCG schemes, and exports requiring a licence under the Foreign Trade Act-require regular Shipping Bills processed at the Air Cargo Complex or EOUs/STPs/EHTPs and, with Customs permission, are handed over to a courier agency. Electronic courier declarations use CSB-III for Form G documents and CSB-IV for Form H goods.
