Sub-contracting permission allows SEZ units to export for DTA exporters subject to annual authorization and prescribed conditions.

SEZ Units may undertake export sub-contracting for Domestic Tariff Area exporters only with annual permission from the Specified Officer and compliance with the prescribed SEZ Rules conditions. Scrap, dust or sweepings of gold, silver or platinum may be sent to a Government or authorised private mint and returned as standard bars under Customs procedure, or sold in the Domestic Tariff Area upon payment of duty on the metal content.
