Right to inspect records uncertain; no express statutory provision, but appellate authority may be asked to direct production. The taxpayer sought a statutory right to inspect or obtain copies of records submitted during processing of a refund application under the Central Excise Act after rejection of the claim. The reply indicated there is no express statutory provision for such inspection or copying, and recommended applying to the appellate authority to direct the lower authorities to provide the requested copies as a practical remedial measure.
