CT 1 Bond executed in Mumbai but export from Mundra

nitin diggi

Dear Sir,

I have executed a CT-1 bond in Mumbai central Excise,  as per information provided by Central Excise officers at Mumbai. I am allowed to export only from Mumbai Sea port / Air Port.

I wanted to know whether after executing the CT-1 bond in Mumbai, I am buying products from Rajkot and can i export from Mundra port and submit all papers to Mumbai central excise bond's department and obtain Proof of Export from Mumbai after submitting all the relevant papers.

Further also please let me know if there are any govt circular in this regard to show it to Central excise and obtain this benefit. Other wise i will have to execute a new CT-1 bond in Gujarat state.

Regards

Nitin

Export Flexibility: Goods Can Be Shipped from Any Port Under Notification No. 42/2001-CE, No New Bond Needed. An individual inquired about the possibility of exporting goods from Mundra port after executing a CT-1 bond in Mumbai, despite being informed by Central Excise officers that exports were restricted to Mumbai ports. They sought clarification on whether they could submit export documentation to Mumbai's central excise and obtain export proof. The response confirmed that exports could be conducted from any port under Notification No. 42/2001-CE, implying that a new bond in Gujarat was unnecessary. (AI Summary)
