export procedure

kamal chordia

Dear Sir

We are exporting second hand capital goods which is imported under EPCG Scheme. Right now the licence is redeemed.

We would like to export this capital goods by self sealing method.

Can we utilise bond under this procedure along with self sealing mode.

Please clarify the matter.

Clarification on Exporting Under EPCG Scheme: Self-Sealing Method Suffices, No Central Excise Sealing Needed for Free Shipping Bill. A query was raised about exporting second-hand capital goods imported under the EPCG Scheme, with the license now redeemed. The inquirer sought clarification on using a bond alongside the self-sealing method for export. The response indicated that if a free shipping bill is filed, there is no need for sealing by the Central Excise Department, as the self-sealing method is sufficient. (AI Summary)

If you are filing free shipping bill then no need to get it sealed from the Central Excise Department.  Self Sealing mode will suffice.
