Clarification Sought on Duty-Free Sugar Import Under CTH 1701 After Potential Withdrawal of Notification No. 12/2012-cus A query was raised regarding the import of sugar under CTH 1701, which previously attracted zero duty if the import contract was registered with the Agricultural & Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), as per Notification No. 12/2012-cus. However, a customs appraiser indicated that this concession might have been withdrawn. The individual sought clarification on the amended notification number. In response, another participant inquired if the issue had been resolved, encouraging further communication if clarification was still needed. (AI Summary)
