EPCG REGARDING.

Dear Sirs, First time we are importing under EPCG scheme. We are going to import some machineries under EPCG scheme. Some of machineries are arrived at our factory under EPCG. My query is that on export invoice and packing list, what particulars i have to mention of EPCG scheme and from what date we will start to  mention after arrival of machineries.

Also what formalities i have to complete with excise. Please clarifiy with suitable notification and circulars if any.

You would have to Submit Installation Cetificate to  the Customs Authority and  you need to obtain it, either, from the Range Superintendent of C.E. or Chartered Engineer (as the case may be) within Six Months from the date of installation of such machinery in your factory premises. 

Further, in case of Spare parts/Components, you need to submit the installation certificate within three years.

On Export invoice, packing list and on shipping bills put the remarks about EPCG License No. for the purpose of h fulfilling of Export Obligation. Your CHA would help you out in this matter.

as per the terms of the para 5.3.1 of FTP HBP 2009-14 read with para 8 of the Notification No.103/2009-Cus dt.11.09.2009. you are required to submit the installation certificate to DGFT within 6 months.

Dear Sirs, Thanks for information. But from which date we can start to mention EPCG license number on invoice, packing list and shipping bill. i.e. after receipt of first machinery or after installation of machinery.

Once you install these machines in your factory premises and manufacturing operations get started and you get the finished goods duly manufactured by these machine, then, you start mentioning the EPCG License numbers on the Shipping Bills.
