Partnership Firm Changes: Retire & Admit Partners, Address Update. Use Form No. 5, Stamp Duty 1% (Max Rs. 5000). A user inquired about the formalities for registering changes in a partnership firm with the Registrar of Firms (ROF) in India. The firm, established 15 years ago, plans to retire two partners, admit two new ones, and change its address effective April 1, 2012. The user asked about the required stamp paper and registration time limits. A respondent clarified that if the firm is already registered, the stamp duty is 1% of the capital, capped at Rs. 5000, and Form No. 5 is needed for changes in the firm's constitution. It is recommended to complete the process within 30 days. (AI Summary)
