How to sale the goods received as sales return from a non-excisable manufacturer or trader?if non-excisable mfg. or trader sends my own duplicate for transport copy of the goods he has sent to me ,then can I take the credit on that copy & is it necessary for him to send a letter of it's own firm by stating that he has sent a part qty. so it may become for the original mfg. to take credit on the qty. I have received.
Guidance on Selling Returned Goods: Use Original Invoice for Full Returns, Issue New Invoice for Partial Returns. A user inquired about the process of selling goods received as sales returns from a non-excisable manufacturer or trader. They questioned whether they could take credit on the duplicate transport copy of goods sent back and if a letter from the sender confirming the partial quantity return was necessary. The response clarified that if the entire quantity is rejected, it can be returned on the original invoice. For partial returns, a separate invoice should be issued for the rejected portion.
