Employer's Right to Deduct Gratuity and Dress Allowance from CTC Depends on Employment Terms An individual inquired whether an employer can deduct gratuity and dress allowance from an employee's Cost to Company (CTC). The proposed salary breakdown includes basic pay, HRA, conveyance, and other components, totaling a CTC of 29,168. The response from a Chartered Accountant indicated that such deductions depend on the terms of employment. (AI Summary)
