What to Know about Tax Management India.

Dear All,

Since last so many years I am using Excus - dongle based software for Indirect Taxes - Latest notifications and circulars - case laws and all other update.

Now a days I am feeling that they are not updating latest case laws on time and I am not satisfied with it and therefore thinking of taking subscription of TMI. I have taken temporary login but it is not showing full features.

I want to know whether all the latest updates are real time?

Whether there is any link provided in the notification which lead us to amended notification or circular?

Any lastly whether it is worth the amount of subscription?

Your valuable suggestions are highly needed.

I have also been facing this problem in EXCUS for last three months. I emailed the sales department of EXCUS about lack of updation but no response was received.

TMI is having sea of information. It has link to original Notification and also to related law and related article ,discussion etc. Its daily newsletter gives summary update.

The best part about TMI is that the notifications, circulars, act rules,etc are all updated with all amendments and that too in a timely manner

By summing up all reply it seems TMI is best in case of latest updates in Law, Notification, Circulars etc.. But not in case of Case Laws and that to search engine is also not as good as EXCUS. So finally I can see that I have to subscribe both in order to have all latest updates and case laws. Correct?

I have subscribed to both. I am missing legendary Sh. R.K.Jain's departure from this earthly world. During his time EXCUS DVD was fool-proof.

I agree with views of my learned collegues. Additional, I find the case-summary in EXCUS much better but TMI has its own advantages.

It takes years to earn and establish goodwill and reputation but if not maintained with dedication, devotion, honesty, integrity and sincerity, it will evaporate within minutes, nay, seconds.

Totally agreed with you. All those who were faith in EXCUS before the Jain sir left, now losing it widely and switching over to better replacement.
