Dynamic Q R Code for B2C Supplies

Dynamic QR code requirement for B2C invoices: compliance via displayed QR or payment cross references; penalty waived if implemented.
Obligation to include a Dynamic QR Code on B2C invoices is tied to the notified e invoicing cohort and carries a conditional penalty waiver if the taxpayer begins issuing dynamic QR codes from the implementation date. Compliance can be met by embedding a dynamic QR on the invoice or, when the QR is digitally displayed, by providing cross references to payment transaction details for card/UPI (transaction ID, date, time, amount, mode) or date and amount for cash payments, as clarified in the referenced notifications and circular. (AI Summary)

Is dynamic QR code for B2C supplies mandatory (without penalty) effective 01.04.2021 for all companies having a turnover of more than 100 crores who are currently issuing e-invoice for B2B supplies? If so, could you please share the notification details.

I agree with the views of Sri Alkesh Ji. The Govt. has waived the penalty only if the taxpayer starts issuing dynamic QR code w.e.f 01.04.2021.

If a supplier has issued an invoice containing a Dynamic QR Code, the invoice will be deemed to have complied with the Dynamic QR Code requirements

In the following cases, if the supplier has digitally displayed the Dynamic QR Code, the requirement will be said to be complied with, if-

The customer pays through credit/debit card or through UPI, and the supplier provides a cross-reference of these payment details on the invoice, such as the transaction ID, date, time, amount, and mode of payment.

The customer pays with cash, and the supplier provides a cross-reference of the date and amount details on the invoice.
