GST on sale of steam

KARAN VERMA

Sir

Is GST applicable on sale of steam ?

If yes, what will be GST rate ?

GST on sale of steam: taxable at prescribed rate, and invoicing must include the applicable HSN code when required. Sale of steam is taxable under GST at 12% as indicated in Schedule V and CBIC rate search, with classification referenced to HSN 28. Suppliers whose turnover exceeds the reporting threshold must include a four digit HSN code on invoices, creating a compliance query because the cited classification is a two digit chapter reference. GST Rate as per schedule V 12% under HSN 28.

CBIC rate search also prescribed as 12 % GST Rate - 6% + 6%

But if turnover exceed 5 crore, than we have to mention 4 digit HSN Code. How we can use HSN Code 28in invoice ?
