IE Code by SEZ Authorities Vs DGFT

Date 20 Oct 2019

IEC linkage to PAN confirmed: one IEC per PAN; SEZ or EOU units keep the same IEC on exit.
IEC issuance differs by regime: IEC for SEZ units and EOUs is issued by the SEZ authority, while IEC for DTA units is issued by the regional export office. The IEC remains unchanged on exit from SEZ/EOU schemes and need not be surrendered. IECs are linked to PAN so only one IEC is issued per PAN. (AI Summary)

Dear Sir,

What is the difference between IE Code issued by SEZ Authorities and DGFT.

Whether DGFT / SEZ Authorites will issue IE Code Online.

Please clarify.
