DEAR SIR I HAVE AN ISSUE WITH MY COSTUMER WHO HAVE TWO PAN CARD. I HAVE SUGGEST TO THEM TO SURRENDING A PAN CARD AND HE DO..BUT TILL NOW HIS PAN CARD NOT SURRENDED BY ITD..

Duplicate PAN: surrender the duplicate and contact the TIN facilitation centre to secure processing and deactivation of the record. A taxpayer advised to surrender a duplicate PAN did so but the Income Tax Department has not updated records; the recommended step is to approach the TIN facilitation centre for assistance with processing, verification and deactivation of the duplicate PAN and consolidation of the taxpayer's records.
