E way Bill Issuance

Date 10 Apr 2018

E-way bill date: use the shipment clearance date when goods crossed the customs frontiers for import consignments.
Enter the shipment clearance date on the e way bill for imported goods received by courier, because that is the date the goods crossed the customs frontier and is the operative date for e way bill generation rather than an earlier Bill of Entry date. (AI Summary)

I need to issue e way bill against an import shipment received through courier which got stuck at port due to some reasons, the Bill of Entry date is 03-10-2017 where as the shipment got cleared dt. 09-04-2018. While generating eway bill plz tell me which date to metion on the e way as the BOE Date is too old & the system is taking date till 10/10/2017 but not before that. Needs your valuable suggestion asap.

1.

Shipment clearance date needs to be mentioned on the e-way bill as on this date the goods crossed the customs frontiers.
