Amendment of Invoice GSTR-1 B2B

Revised invoice requirement: correct B2B entries in GSTR 1 by issuing a revised invoice so records and matching are restored.
Amendment of B2B invoices in GSTR 1 is effected by issuing a revised invoice to correct the original so the counterparty can amend their records; the portal may ask for a revised invoice number and date, though some users enter the original invoice number to pull data for correction. Errors such as wrong tax heads or dates should be rectified via revision, and post filing omissions or mismatches may require grievance redressal to avoid departmental notices. (AI Summary)

Sir, In GSTR-1, there is a table for Amendment of Invoice B2B, for previous period. While going for amendment it asks for Revised Invoice No. Infact I have not issued any revised invoice, but I need to amend. Please guide me as I am confused between word Amend and Revised.
