GST practitioner - revised rules

Dear all,

The revised Return Rules provides that any person that he has been enrolled as a Sales Tax practitioner or tax return preparer under the existing law for a period of not less than five years is eligible to enrol as a GST practitioner. It is further provided that such person is to pass the required qualified examination which are made eligible to enrol as a GST practitioner.

This is for information to the readers of this forum.

GST practitioner eligibility requires prior tax practitioner experience and successful completion of the prescribed qualifying examination for enrolment. Eligibility to enrol as a GST practitioner requires prior enrolment as a sales tax practitioner or tax return preparer for not less than five years and successful completion of the prescribed qualified examination as prerequisites for GST practitioner registration.
