MEIS eligibility requires an EDI shipping bill marked 'Y' as declaration of intent to claim benefits.
MEIS eligibility turns on an exporter's electronic declaration of intent: marking the EDI shipping bill with Y constitutes the requisite declaration to claim MEIS rewards. An EDI shipping bill marked 'NO' or lacking the Y marking does not satisfy the procedural requirement and is not eligible for MEIS claims. (AI Summary)
