Wealth tax registration may be required for valuers; apply for registration as a valuer under the Act.
Whether a licensed chartered engineer must obtain Wealth Tax registration to perform valuations for banks was contested: one reply stated the Wealth-tax Act is not applicable or in force; another stated registration is required under Section 34AB and that an application for registration as a valuer under the Wealth-tax Act, 1957 must be made. (AI Summary)

I want to know wheather " Wealth tax registration " is required for already " a certified registered chatered engineer " of Government of kerala ( Reg.No. E-2050/08/7670/KKD/305/2015/EA) to do valuation for banks.

If yes, what are procedures to get a " Wealth Tax Registration".

Your immediate reply is highly appreciated.

Regards,

Anil Thampan
