Excsie RC Surrender same month

Dear All,

We would like to surrender our Excise RC this month since close of the unit. We have paid PLA also. But while filing ER1 return for Dec-15 the error is coming not accepting the Return.

Whether Dec-15 Return cannot be filed in December itself? Or we have wait till Jan 1 to file return and surrender RC?

Without filing ER1 RC surrender also not possible i think

It cannot be done unless the period of December month is closed. The command is feeded in the system which accepts return.

Wait till 31-12-2015 and after that submit the return. Then online surrender the C,E, Registration Certificate. Department may also conduct audit for material period for determining the correctness of returns and records maintained by you.
