RC Surrender - reg

Dear All,

We are going to surrender our Excise Resgistration for branch unit this month. Whether we can do it a middle of the month say 15th Dec.? Or we have to wait till end of the month. since we do not have operation after 15th.

Can we pay PLA and file ER1 Return this December itself for the month of Dec-15?

RC surrender we are doing online. After applying online RC surrender whether we have to give letter and intimation to concerned Range office? Or Online surrender is enough ?

It is at your discretion to surrender the registration certificate. You have to file return up to the date of surrender. You can pay the duty and file the return within the time stipulated. Even if you applied on line it is better to inform the Range Superintendent about surrender under a letter along with the original registration certificate and get acquittance of the same.
