Tax exemptionon reimbursement for medical treatment

TAPAN DAS

Dear Sir,

Can we get tax exemption on reimbursement for the Medical treatment (list provided for Specified Diseases given in rule 3ASection 17(2) of the I.T) in a private nursing home / hospital which is not approved by the Chief Commissioner of Income Tax?

If no, then shall we get reimbursement for the Medical treatment only for Specified Diseases (as per list given in rule 3ASection 17(2) of the I.Tax act) from a nursing home / hospital which is approved by the Chief Commissioner of Income Tax?

regards

Clarification sought on tax exemptions for medical treatment reimbursements under Income Tax Act for approved and non-approved facilities. A query was raised regarding tax exemptions on reimbursements for medical treatment under the Income Tax Act. The individual inquired whether tax exemptions are applicable for treatments of specified diseases at private nursing homes or hospitals not approved by the Chief Commissioner of Income Tax. Additionally, they sought clarification on whether reimbursements are possible for treatments of specified diseases at approved nursing homes or hospitals. (AI Summary)
