Greetings for the day.

At the time of Service Tax audit one of the Superintendent has disallow all the Cenvat Credit taken by us reason due to two different name of same project. We have already given them in reply that the projects is one only the difference is that previously it was having different name. Please suggest what to do next so that we can get all the credit allow by them.

Cenvat Credit Disallowed Due to Project Renaming; Clarification Could Prevent Show Cause Notice if Proven as Same Project A query was raised regarding the disallowance of Cenvat Credit due to a project being listed under two different names. During a Service Tax audit, a superintendent disallowed the credit, despite the clarification that the project was the same, merely renamed. The response suggested that the credit should be admissible if it can be proven that both names refer to the same project. However, there is a possibility that the explanation might not be accepted during the audit, potentially leading to a Show Cause Notice being issued. (AI Summary)
