Payment Made from PLA can Revrsed

Suminder Patial

HI,

I have an query regarding Duty payment made from PLA for WIP inventory adjustment is this amount required to pay? if not then what is the procedure to take back this amount.

We have shown this deduction in ER-1 sr 6 Other payment made.

Individual Seeks Refund for Duty Paid on Work-in-Progress; Experts Advise on PLA and ER-1 Process. An individual inquired about reversing a duty payment made from the Personal Ledger Account (PLA) for work-in-progress inventory adjustment, questioning if the payment was necessary and how to reclaim it. One respondent advised that such adjustments cannot be made unilaterally. Another suggested filing for a refund of the amount paid through the PLA. A third response indicated that since the duty was already paid and recorded in ER-1, the matter is likely resolved unless contested by the department. (AI Summary)
