Is the export of fertilizer is restricted by the GOI.

One of the our client wish to export - magnesium sulphate to African countries (i.e. under developing countries), you are requested to guide us on the item to export with a degree to composition of various chemicals / organism are permissible to export.

Agrochemicals such as Fertilizer including magnesium sulphate are allowed to be exported worldwide and it does not fall under the restrictive items.

Generally, Magnesium Sulphate Heptahydrate ( Mgso4 ) of the following specification is globally accepted composition for export/import :-

Specification :-

• Color: Transparent Crystal
• Purity: More than 99%
• Mg% : 9.6 % min
• Mgo % : 16.0% Min
• PH of 5% Soln: 7 /- 0.5
• Lead as Pb :< 2 PPM
• Arsenic as As2 O3 : Nil
• Iron as FE : 20 ppm
• Calcium as ca: 300 ppm
• Packing : 25 Kg / 50Kg or Jumbo Bags HDPE
• USES : FERTILIZER / CATTLE FEED
