Exorbinat Fee Hike By Delhi Public Schools Ghaziabad

School fee regulation disputes over interim stays and administrative intervention challenge excessive private school fee hikes affecting parents.
Parents of multiple Ghaziabad private schools, alleging an automatic tuition linkage to government DA and an alleged 40% fee increase, petitioned administrative authorities after schools refused to justify hikes. The District Magistrate formed a committee, stayed enhanced fees and issued a finding of non compliance with state fee directives and land/NOC terms. Schools filed writ petitions in the High Court while a related federation secured a different bench's stay; key legal questions include the inter bench stay's effect on pending petitions, possible misrepresentation or forum shopping, administrative interference with subjudice litigation, and whether demanding enhanced fees amounts to contempt. (AI Summary)
