Parents Challenge Delhi Public School Fee Hikes; Legal Battle Over 40% Increase Linked to Dearness Allowance Parents in the NCR region are protesting against exorbitant fee hikes by schools, particularly Delhi Public Schools Ghaziabad. The fee increases, reportedly up to 40%, are linked to government dearness allowance adjustments. A committee was formed by the District Magistrate to investigate, and a stay was placed on the fee hike. Legal actions are underway, with schools challenging the stay in court. Parents are advised to file a writ petition and seek intervention from higher authorities. The issue has also been raised in the UP Vidhan Sabha. Legal advice is sought on the sustainability of court orders and potential misrepresentations by schools. (AI Summary)
