Exemption certificate limited to VAT/CST; entry tax requires a separate application under the entry tax legislation.
The Exemption Certificate under RIPS 2010 exempts only VAT/CST and does not extend to entry tax. Entry tax is governed by a separate statutory regime; applicants seeking entry tax exemption must file a distinct application under the entry tax legislation rather than relying on the VAT/CST exemption certificate. (AI Summary)

Dear All,

When we have opted for Exemption Certificate (E.C) in the state of Rajasthan whether the Entry tax is exempted or not.

Under RIPS 2010 only VAT/CST will be exempted.  For seeking exemption of Entry Tax under RVAT you would have to file the application separately as both are separate legislations.
