Rajasthan VAT

Dear All,

When we have opted for Exemption Certificate (E.C) in the state of Rajasthan whether the Entry tax is exempted or not.

Entry Tax Exemption Requires Separate Application Under Rajasthan VAT Act; RIPS 2010 Covers Only VAT/CST Exemption. A discussion on a forum regarding the exemption of Entry Tax in Rajasthan when an Exemption Certificate (E.C) is opted for. A participant clarified that under the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme (RIPS) 2010, only VAT/CST is exempted, and a separate application is required for Entry Tax exemption under the Rajasthan VAT Act. Another participant requested further details and the application process for seeking this exemption. (AI Summary)

Under RIPS 2010 only VAT/CST will be exempted.  For seeking exemption of Entry Tax under RVAT you would have to file the application separately as both are separate legislations.
