Deemed Export

Deemed export status questioned for supply to listed government project; queries on documentation, customs exemptions and CENVAT credit.
Whether sale of machinery to a listed government project qualifies as a Deemed Export; what documentary proof is required to establish that status; whether customs duty exemptions apply to imported inputs used in the supply; and whether CENVAT CREDIT is available on imported and indigenous procurement related to the supply. (AI Summary)

Respected Sir,

I need your expert advice regarding following issue.

I have to make a supply of machines to a Govt. Project and according to FTP 8.2(j) the name of said project is mentioned in list 33, Sr.No. 511 of Notification No. 12/2012-Customs Dated 17.03.2012.

Please clarify:

 1. Is this supply/sale treated as Deemed Export ?

2. Is there any requirement of any document to establish Deemed Export ?

3. Is there any exemption/concession available on Customs Duty for procurement of imported inputs?

4. Can I avail CENVAT CREDIT on imported as well as indigenous procurement?

You are requested to spare some time for me and reply as earliest as possible.
