Employers of factories, mines and motor transport undertakings must provide suitable shelter, rest room and lunchroom facilities in specified circumstances, with drinking water and washing arrangements. These facilities must be separately maintained for male, female and transgender employees, and a canteen maintained under the relevant rule is treated as compliance. The rooms must be lighted, ventilated, hygienic, heat-resisting, adequately spacious and suitably furnished. Motor transport workers must also be supplied free uniforms, raincoats and similar amenities.
