of <h1>EPCG Scheme: Zero Duty Import of Capital Goods with Export Obligation; Excludes Status Holder Incentive Beneficiaries Unless Benefits Returned.</h1> The Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) Scheme permits the import of capital goods at zero customs duty, provided an export obligation (EO) equivalent to six times the duty saved is fulfilled within six years. The scheme excludes exporters benefiting from the Status Holder Incentive Scheme unless benefits are surrendered or refunded. It covers manufacturer exporters, merchant exporters, and service providers, including Common Service Providers. Import of second-hand goods is prohibited, and specific conditions apply to the import of restricted items. The scheme also supports technological upgrades, green technology products, and offers reduced EO for certain regions and sectors.
