Suspension of standard input-output norms for electronic product converters (B194) - import-use documentation and compliance still mandatory
Standard input-output norms for converters/choppers classified under electronic products (B194) have been suspended by the referenced public notice dated 03-05-2024. The norm previously allowed import of one unit with hardware accounted as net plus 2% wastage. Applicants are required to determine and document the proportion of various inputs used in producing resultant export products and must ensure that imported goods correspond to those actually used or required in the exported product. Compliance with stated input determinations remains mandatory despite suspension.
