New SION Norms for Polyester Textiles: Key Input Requirements for Dyed Fabrics, Sarees, Made-Ups, and More
The Standard Input-Output Norms (SION) for manufacturing dyed and printed fabrics, sarees, made-ups, hosiery, and odhanies made from 100% polyester filament yarn or texturized yarn. It specifies the required quantities of various inputs like polyester filament yarn, polyvinyl alcohol, sodium sulphoxylate formaldehyde, silicon compound, optical whitening agent, ionet rap, disperse dyes, lubricating agent, antistatic agent, and printing gum. The norms dictate the proportions of these inputs needed for production, ensuring that imported goods match those used in the export products. Note that optical whitening agents are not permitted for hosiery products.
