<h1>Indian Post Office Rules Amended: Rule 10-A Now Allows Heavier Letter Cards, Sets New Paper Standards and Dimensions.</h1> The Indian Post Office Rules, 1933, have been amended by the Central Government under the Indian Post Office Act, 1898. The Fourth Amendment Rules, 2008, include changes to Rule 10-A, such as increasing the weight limit from three grams to five grams and specifying dimensions for unfolded and folded letter cards. The amendment also requires inland letter cards to be made of paper with a minimum of 70 GSM. Additionally, privately manufactured letter cards must comply with specified dimensions and conditions to be conveyed by post. These rules took effect upon publication in the Official Gazette.
