of <h1>India Imposes Anti-Dumping Duty on Chinese Theophylline and Caffeine to Protect Domestic Industry Until March 2000</h1> The Central Government of India has imposed an anti-dumping duty on Theophylline and Caffeine originating from or exported by the People's Republic of China, following findings that these products were sold in India below their normal value, causing material injury to the domestic industry. The duty, effective until March 19, 2000, unless extended or revoked, is calculated as the difference between specified amounts (Rs. 562.55 per kg for Theophylline and Rs. 594.50 per kg for Caffeine) and the landed value of imports. This measure aims to protect the Indian industry from further harm due to underpriced imports.
