of <h1>Government Reduces Basic Customs Duty on Refined Palm Oil to 12.5% Until March 31, 2022, per Notification 53/2021-Customs.</h1> The Central Government has issued Notification No. 53/2021-Customs to amend a previous notification, reducing the Basic Customs Duty (BCD) on refined palm oil and its fractions from 17.5% to 12.5%. This reduction is effective from December 21, 2021, and will remain in effect until March 31, 2022. This decision, made under the powers granted by the Customs Act, 1962, is intended to serve the public interest. The amendment modifies the entry in the table of Notification No. 48/2021-Customs dated October 13, 2021.
