of <h1>India Extends Customs Notifications Validity to September 2022; Adjusts Duty Rates for Specific Items and Lentils.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 16/2022-Customs to amend previous notifications 48/2021-Customs and 49/2021-Customs, both dated 13th October 2021. The amendments extend the validity period from 31st March 2022 to 30th September 2022. Additionally, for Notification No. 49/2021, the duty rate for an item is changed to 5%, and a new entry for lentils (Mosur) with a nil rate is added. These changes take effect on 13th February 2022.
