<h1>Central Government Approves Hospital Project Under Section 35AC; Free and Concessional Medical Services Mandated for Low-Income Families.</h1> The Central Government has approved the construction of a fully equipped hospital, Ramco Appollo Diagnostic Centre, in Rajapalayam, Tamil Nadu, as an eligible project under section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially recognized for two assessment years starting from 1993-94, the project has been extended for another two years from 1996-97. The hospital, managed by P.A.C. Ramasamy Raja Centenary Trust, must provide 40% of clinical tests and 25% of X-Rays, ECG, and other routine tests free or at concessional rates. Additionally, free treatment is mandated for families earning less than Rs. 10,000, with concessions for those earning up to Rs. 15,000.
