of <h1>ICAI Guideline No. 1-CA(7)/03/2016: CA members must avoid tenders without minimum fees or mixed professional participation.</h1> The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India issued Guideline No. 1-CA(7)/03/2016, effective immediately, under the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949. It mandates that members in practice should not respond to tenders for services exclusively reserved for chartered accountants, such as audit and attestation, unless the tender specifies a minimum fee or allows participation from other professionals alongside chartered accountants.
