of <h1>Government Approves IT Sector-Specific SEZ in Noida, Spanning 11.161 Hectares, Effective July 10, 2015, Under Customs Act.</h1> The Central Government has approved the establishment of a Sector Specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for information technology and IT-enabled services in Sector-85, Noida, Uttar Pradesh, proposed by a private company. The SEZ spans 11.161 hectares and includes plots A-1 to A-6. An Approval Committee, comprising government officials and a representative from the developer, has been constituted to oversee the SEZ. The SEZ is designated as an Inland Container Depot effective from July 10, 2015, under the Customs Act, 1962. This initiative follows the provisions of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005.
